The most powerful prayer in praise of Surya, the Sun God. Given to him by Agastya Rishi, it was recited by Lord Rama before his battle with Ravan.
Suryadev or the Sun God is treated as the 'adi deva' in Hindu mythology because He is the only one among all gods who is 'pratayaksha' or visible.
All the stutis and stotras in this song has been taken from the Valmiki's Ramayan.
